Experiment Instructions

Aim: The aim of the experiment is to investigate how the amount of infrared radiation absorbed or radiated by a surface depends on the nature of that surface.

  1. Click Start Experiment to begin cooling all four tubes simultaneously.
  2. Record the temperature of each tube at regular intervals in your worksheet.
  3. After 10 minutes, click Stop.
  4. Plot a line graph of all 4 tubes on the same axes. Temperature on y-axis and time on x-axis.
